Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow is an action-adventure video game by 7 Studios for thePlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows. It features playable levels based on the experiences of Captain Jack Sparrowafter the events of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The game includes action, puzzles and humorous cutscenes.

Gameplay

The player takes the role of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann in a generic action-adventure video game. Each character learns new skills or unlocks new weapons which will help him to defeat each boss. Each level has a number of puzzles to solve. The game allows for a second character.

The game begins with Jack Sparrow and Will Turner trying to steal an object from a Portuguese fortress in Panama. They are double-crossed and captured. While facing the gallows (and while Jack looks for an escape route as always), he begins to retell some of his stories to Will Turner, albeit exaggerated and not completely honestly; for instance, he always claims that either Will Turner or Elizabeth Swann was with him, even when they insist they have no idea what he's talking about. These stories include how Jack sacked Nassau Port without firing a shot; how he escaped from the desert island on the backs of sea turtles (when he was marooned with Elizabeth, the second time, he confesses to the true events, that he was rescued by rum smugglers that were long gone); how he fought a Chinese sorceress named Madame Tang; encountered a legion of frozen Norse warriors; visited the Arctic; and a complete retelling of Curse of the Black Pearl, complete with sequences that never happened and lines that were never said.


The game was met with negative reviews upon release. GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 53.58% and 51 out of 100 for the PlayStation 2 version,[3][5] and 48.80% and 49 out of 100 for the PC version.

Tom Yum Goong Based on the Thai movie, Tom Yum Goong follows the story of a young man named Kham who must battle the mafia in order to recover his stolen elephants that were smuggled to Sydney.
Allow players to assume the protagonist role and use Muay Thai skills to defeat members of an international mafia gang and rescue the prized elephant.  The game was modeled after the film’s main star, Panom Yeerum (Tony Jaa). Programmers captured Jaa’s movements by recording his real actions in video format before meticulously created realistic 3-dimensional animations for the game’s characters.  The videogame will allow players to execute 30 different Muay Thai movements.

Prince of Persia 3D, developed by Red Orb Entertainment and published by The Learning Company for Microsoft Windows, is the third and last game in the original Prince of Persia series. The game debuted in 1999, 10 years after the original, and incorporated 3D graphics in its gameplay.
In 2000, a Sega Dreamcast version under the name Prince of Persia: Arabian Nights was developed by Avalanche Software and published by Mattel Interactive, which had previously purchased both Red Orb Entertainment and The Learning Company. Many of the control flaws from the original PC version were corrected and other notable bugs were fixed, improving the gameplay of this port, although it still suffers the same camera problems. This version was only released in North America.


Prince of Persia 3D begins with the Prince and Sultan of Persia visiting the Sultan's brother, Assan. Soon enough, the Prince's personal bodyguards are killed, himself locked in the dungeon, and the Sultan taken by Assan. The Prince escapes the dungeon, and it is revealed that the Sultan of Persia promised Assan many years ago that his daughter would marry Assan's son, Rugnor, not the Prince. The Prince finds the two, but Assan kills the Sultan by mistake, while trying to kill the Prince. Assan runs, but the Prince decides to pursue Rugnor, who has taken the Princess of Persia captive. The Prince and Rugnor have many standoffs, but when it becomes clear to Rugnor that the Prince won't give up, and the Princess won't submit to him, he decides to kill her. He ties her to a large gear machine, attempting to crush her. The Prince, however, arrives before this happens, kills Rugnor, and deactivates the machine. The Prince then escapes with the Princess, via a flying beast, but the Prince takes the Princess in the opposite direction of Persia, rather than towards it.

Development

It was released by Red Orb, which was hived off from Brøderbund. However, due to financial difficulties, Red Orb was forced to release the game before it had gone through the bug detection and correction stage. Moreover, it was sold and re-sold first to Mattel, then to The Learning Company.

Secret Service, (also known as Secret Service: Ultimate Sacrifice) is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Cauldron HQ and published by Activision Value for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. It is set inWashington D.C. on Inauguration Day, where the player assumes the role of an elite agent named Pierce, whose task is to eliminate enemies to prevent them from attacking the capitol. The game uses the CloakNT in-game engine. The game was released in North America on November 4, 2008 and was released in Europe on March 13, 2009.

Plot

On the day of the Presidential inauguration Secret Service agent Pierce, a member of current President Simon's personal detail, receives a phone call from an unknown caller who goes by the name "Semper"; Latin for "always or ever". He warns that the President is in danger and that someone at the top has compromised the Secret Service warning that "Tyrants are everywhere".
Shortly thereafter, dozens of hostiles, although dressed like civilians, are all armed with AKs and speak in Spanish attack the Lincoln Memorial where President Simon is shot. After taking down several RPGs, President Simon is extracted to Walter Reed Medical Center.
Then reports of bombs planted in the Capital building with over one hundred civilians trapped in the cross fire. Agent Pierce enters while another agent,Doyle, provides updates on situation. After Pierce disarms bombs; the bomb squad was killed as soon as they entered the building and rescues a group of senators he questions the Speaker of the House about Vice-President elect, and learns that the president elect and vice-president elect were political enemies.
Doyle then updates that the bombs were a setup for CVX bombs that would decimate D.C. and they originated from the fictional island of Costa Sentava; a militarily dictatorship led by a man named Vargas, who had used CVX gas before on his people during a revolt and also announced it was no longer in production. Doyle tells they had an inside man to not only get the gas in the country, but in the Capital as well.
The soon to be Vice-President is also leading the US delegation at the South American Summit being held in D.C. Doyle and Pierce discuss about how they need to get to the White House to expose what's happening, Semper interjects implying the top level people he's going to talk to, could be the same top level people who could be behind the attacks.
Agent Pierce enters a network of tunnels that lead to the White House fighting the terrorists and the tunnel's automated defences. En route to the White House Pierce is told to stand down orders of Special Agent in Charge Kauffman, the man in charge of the Secret Service detail, but later on while still in the tunnels, Pierce learns that President Simon died from his wounds. Doyle tells that him that the President-elect detail has gone quiet as well.
After preventing an explosion in the tunnels, Pierce enters friendly territory, but not friendly towards him. Pierce must fight, non-lethally, through Secret Service agents ordered to stop him since being declared rogue.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very similar to Die Hard: Vendetta, the James Bond games, and Soldier of Fortune: Payback. The game contains puzzle elements, where players must defuse bombs and unlock doors. It also uses the same reloading animations from Soldier of Fortune: Payback and 007: Agent Under Fire. For instance, the Uziin this game has the same reload animation as the Ingalls Type 20 that appeared in the latter game. Weapons are given pseudonyms as well, for instance, the AK-103 is called the "KMF-03", and the Uzi is the only firearm with its actual name

Fantastic Four is a beat 'em up action-adventure video game based on the 2005 Fantastic Four film. Players play as the characters of the Marvel Comics superhero team Fantastic Four using combos and special attacks to fight their way through hordes of enemies and bosses. Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Julian McMahonreprise their roles for the game.






Gameplay

The Fantastic Four is an internationally renowned group of superhuman champions. Each of the characters has a special ability:
  • Mister Fantastic has the ability to shift his body (or portions of same) into a super-malleable state, enabling him to stretch, contract, deform, expand, elongate, compress or otherwise reshape his physical form at his will .[2]
  • Invisible Woman possesses the ability to bend light and ultimately become invisible (wholly or partially) at will. She also has telekinetic powers and the ability to project force energy from her body.[3]
  • The Human Torch can manipulate fire. He usually allows his entire body to be engulfed in flames considering his body can sustain the highest levels of heat. Another ability of his is flight, which players can use in the game.[4]
  • The Thing is incredibly strong and has an exterior stronger than diamonds. Ben Grimm can carry heavy objects with ease, as players will find out while playing as this character.[5]
The game includes a number of villains and characters not featured in the movie, many of whom are based on theirUltimate Universe versions like the Yancy Street Gang, Nick Fury, Mole Man, Diablo, Puppet Master, Dragon Man,Blastaar, and Annihilus.



Reception

GamesRadar ranked it as the 45th worst game ever made. They criticized it for its poor use of the license and boring gameplayReviews of the game were mixed. GameRankings gave it a score of 62.18% for the PlayStation 2 version,[8] 61.50% for the Xbox version,[9] 65.02% for the GameCube version,[6] 64.35% for the PC version,[7] and 55.50% for the Game Boy Advance version.[10] Likewise, Metacritic gave it a score of 64 out of 100 for the PS2 version,[11] 62 out of 100 for the Xbox version,[13] 61 out of 100 for the GameCube version,[14] 63 out of 100 for the PC version,[12] and 57 out of 100 for the GBA version.
